President
The President provides leadership and direction for the Community League, guiding its vision and goals. They work closely with the board, volunteers, and partners to foster collaboration, strengthen community engagement, and ensure the league continues to serve residents effectively. They preside over all meetings of the League and serve as the chairperson. They are responsible for the general administration of the affairs of the League.

Vice-President
The vice-president supports the President and helps oversee league operations and strategic planning. They play a key role in coordination across board portfolios and steps in to support initiatives and leadership needs as they arise. They temporarily assume all presidential duties if the President is unavailable or contested until they return or are replaced at the AGM. They fill a presidential vacancy between elections and oversee Officer election procedures. They serve as parliamentarian—advise on Bylaws, Rules of Order (Article 21), and applicable Alberta/Federal Societies Act provisions for the Chair’s rulings. They conduct periodic Bylaw reviews under Executive direction.

Treasurer
The treasurer manages the league’s financial health, including budgeting, reporting, and financial oversight. They ensure transparency and responsible use of funds to support programs, events, and community initiatives.
They receive and deposit all funds collected in the League’s bank account on behalf of the League, pay all bills and expenses when approved by formal motion at an Executive, General or Annual General Meeting. They keep accurate financial records and prepare the League budget, as required. They prepare a written itemized financial report to each Executive and Annual General Meeting and to each General and Special Meeting if requested by the Executive. They arrange to have the books audited no later than the 30th day of June. They ensure that the annual Not-for-Profit League filing with Corporate Registries, insurance of all assets, liability insurance, is done in a timely manner.

Secretary
The Secretary supports the league by managing meeting records, documentation, and correspondence. They ensure accurate record-keeping and helps maintain clear communication across the board.
They are the custodian of the League’s records pertaining to the office; ensure that all notices of various meetings are sent. They keep accurate minutes of all meetings, identifying the mover and seconder, and the result of the voting on such motions. The record shall include the type of meeting, its purpose, date, time and location, the attendance, resolutions and proceedings of: Executive Meetings; General Meetings; Annual General Meetings; Special Meetings. They record all changes to minutes of prior meeting in current minutes. They oversee the correspondence of the League, under the direction of the President and Executive. They provide up-to-date contact lists for the Executive and Committee Chairs. They keep a copy of all important documents and any other information required under the Societies Act, including the location of the Registered Office

Membership Director
The membership director oversees community membership, helping residents join, renew, and stay connected to league benefits. They focus on growing membership, signing up new members, renewing memberships, responding to member inquiries, and strengthening engagement across the neighbourhood.

CommunicationDirector/Lead
The Communications Director is responsible for keeping residents informed, engaged, and connected. They manage the League’s website and social media channels, creating and distributing newsletters and email updates, promoting events, programs, and registration information, responding to general inquiries and directing questions appropriately.

Civics Director
The Civics Director represents community interests on civic matters, helping connect residents with municipal updates, advocacy efforts, and city-related initiatives that impact the neighbourhood.

Sports Director
The Sports Director oversees sports and recreational programming, supporting activities that promote health, teamwork, and fun within the community. They help coordinate leagues, schedules, and partnerships related to sports.

Program/ Events Coordinator
The Program/ Events Coordinator leads the planning and coordination of community events and activities. They create a team and work to create inclusive, engaging opportunities for residents of all ages to connect, participate, and feel a sense of belonging. They coordinate with vendors, businesses to get quotes for supplies or equipments and present it to the board for approval. They arrange items, and secure a location, as needed for the events or programs.

Members at Large
Members at Large support the board across various initiatives, providing input, assisting with events, and helping advance community goals wherever support is needed. They can act as Coordinators/ Leads/ Officers in a capacity where needed by the board.
Volunteer Coordinator
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, organizing, supporting, and recognizing volunteers who contribute to the League’s programs, events, and community initiatives. This role helps ensure the League has enough volunteer support to successfully operate activities while creating a positive and rewarding volunteer experience.
Contacting local schools, colleges, and youth organizations. Posting in community Facebook groups and social media platforms. Sharing digital communications such as newsletters, emails, and League websites. Distributing flyers, posters, and community notices. Networking verbally within the community and at League events. Connecting with local businesses, clubs, and organizations for volunteer partnerships. They maintain an updated list or database of volunteers and their interests, skills, and availability. Match volunteers to suitable roles based on experience, interests, and event requirements. Coordinate volunteer schedules for League activities and events. Provide volunteers with information about responsibilities, expectations, and event details.
