A Message from the President
August has been another wonderful month for our community, filled with opportunities to connect, support local businesses, and enjoy everything our neighbourhood has to offer. It has been encouraging to see more neighbours getting involved, joining the Community League, and participating in our programs and initiatives.
Throughout August, we invited residents to take part in our Bites Around the Block contest! Participants were asked to share their top three favourite restaurants and local eateries in and around our community. Everyone who submitted their favourites was entered for a chance to win a fantastic local prize, while the most-loved local eatery will also receive a special prize from the Chappelle Community League.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped us celebrate the local businesses that make our community special. Winners will be selected during the first week of September.
Our Green Shack program wrapped up on August 21, marking the end of another great summer of fun and activities for local children and families. We are grateful to everyone who helped make the program possible and to all the families who participated. We look forward to welcoming the Green Shack program back next year!
Mark your calendars for our Community Day on Saturday, September 19, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Come out, have some fun, play games, meet your neighbours, and enjoy an afternoon together as a community. We will also have a membership table where residents can learn more about the League and purchase or renew their annual membership. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on September 24. More information, including meeting details and how to participate, will be shared with members through email and our social media channels. We encourage our community members to watch for the announcement and join us.
We are excited to see more neighbours joining the Chappelle Community League membership program. Your membership helps us continue building programs, events, and initiatives that bring our community together.
We also welcome more community members and local businesses to get involved. Members and businesses can have their business or organization featured in our newsletter and help neighbours discover the great services available right here in our community.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support the Chappelle Community League. Every membership, volunteer, participation, and local business connection helps us build a stronger and more connected community.
