A Message from the President
What a wonderful start to summer in Chappelle!
July was filled with community spirit, connection, and plenty of family fun. Our Canada Day Community Summer Kickoff was a fantastic afternoon, and it was wonderful to see so many families come out to enjoy the activities, games, treats, and sunshine. A heartfelt thank-you to Prime Pizza, our dedicated volunteers, and every family who joined us and helped make the celebration so memorable.
We are especially excited to see our Green Shack Program underway this summer. Running from June 29 to August 21 at 1137 Chappelle Blvd SW, the program gives children ages 6–12 an opportunity to get outside, make new friends, and enjoy games, sports, crafts, and activities throughout the summer. Programs like this are an important part of creating a welcoming and active community where our youngest residents have opportunities to play, connect, and build friendships close to home. We encourage families to take advantage of this wonderful City of Edmonton program throughout the summer.
Another exciting area of growth for the League is our Affiliate Membership Program. We are thrilled to welcome the local businesses that have already joined us as affiliate partners! Your support helps strengthen the connection between local businesses and the residents they serve, while providing valuable exclusive discounts and benefits to Community League members. To our existing affiliate partners, thank you for investing in our community and for helping us create more value for our members. And to local businesses that would like to get involved, we invite you to join us! Whether you are a small business, service provider, professional, or local entrepreneur, becoming an affiliate partner is a great way to connect with your community, support local initiatives, and introduce your business to Chappelle residents.
As we continue growing, our goal remains the same: to create more programs, activities, events, partnerships, and opportunities for everyone in our community.
Thank you to all of our members, volunteers, businesses, and residents who continue to support the Chappelle Community League. Every contribution—big or small—helps us move forward.
