Here To Help for Back to School
The campaign to help students ease back into the classroom on transit is back!
From September 1 to 18, look for our staff at transit centres throughout the city between 7 and 9 a.m. and 3 and 5 p.m. Here to Help is an initiative between Edmonton Transit Service (ETS), Transit Peace Officers (TPOs) and the Edmonton Police Service (EPS). We'll be there to support students as they transition back to the classroom, and patrol 10 key transit hubs during peak hours.
Plus, with the grand opening of the new St. Carlo Acutis high school, we're providing extra assistance at the Castle Downs Transit Centre. Since the school is right across the street, teams will be onsite to help students find their buses home. Catch staff at various transit centres to help with transit related questions!

National Tree Day
Root for Trees and Tree Canada are teaming up to celebrate National Tree Day!

Free Big Bin and Eco Station Events
The City of Edmonton is hosting a series of Big Bin Events and Free Eco Station Weekends to provide residents with the opportunity to drop off furniture, appliances and other household items that are too large or bulky for regular collection at no additional charge.
The last Free Eco Station Weekend is September 26 and 27 from 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Strathcona, Kennedale and Ambleside Eco Stations.

Invasive Weed Pull at Edmonton Valley Zoo
The Invasive Plant Outreach Team will be hosting a volunteer weed pull event at the Edmonton Valley Zoo to wrap up a very successful weed pull season. We would love to see you there!
