Capital Line South (Phase 1) is a 4.5-kilometre high-floor LRT extension from Century Park Station to north of Ellerslie Road. It will help serve the growing population of south and southwest Edmonton. In 2024, Capital Line Design-Build Ltd., a member of the Ledcor Group of Companies, with AECOM as their design partner, was awarded the Design-Build contract for Phase 1. Ledcor began major construction in 2025.
