A Message from the President
Dear Chappelle Community,
As we move through another exciting season in our growing community, I want to take a moment to reflect on what we have accomplished together and, more importantly, look ahead at what we can continue to build. Over the past month, we saw exactly what community can look like.
Our Easter Egg Hunt Weekend was a wonderful success. It was so exciting to see families throughout Chappelle come out, participate in the scavenger hunt, visit local businesses, and enjoy activities together. The smiles on the children's faces and the conversations happening between neighbours were a great reminder of why these events matter. Events like this don't happen on their own. They take planning, coordination, volunteers, businesses, and community members who are willing to show up and participate. To every family who joined us — thank you for making the weekend special.
🚓 Community Safety Event — April 12. We also had the opportunity to bring residents and community partners together for our Community Safety Event. Safety is something that affects all of us, and having an opportunity to learn, ask questions, and connect with people working to keep our neighbourhood safe is incredibly valuable.
❤️ A Special Thank You to Our Volunteers
Behind every successful community event is a group of people who often don't receive enough recognition — our volunteers. Whether you helped organize, set up, welcome families, coordinate activities, or worked behind the scenes, your contribution made a difference. Our events simply would not be possible without you.
🤝 Thank You to Our Local Businesses
We also want to recognize the local businesses that supported our April events. Your generosity, partnership, and willingness to participate help us create memorable experiences for our residents while strengthening the relationship between our community and the businesses that serve it. We encourage our residents to support local businesses whenever possible. A strong community and a strong local business community go hand in hand.
💚 Why Be Part of Your Community League?
The Community League is ultimately your community resource. When you support and participate in the League, you're helping create programs, events, connections, and opportunities for the people who live around you. But the greatest benefit isn't simply what the League can provide. It's what we can accomplish together. The more residents who participate, volunteer, share ideas, and support our initiatives, the more opportunities we can create.
🙋 Get Involved- If you've been thinking about getting involved, this is a great time to start.
You can: Attend an event. Bring your family and meet your neighbours. Volunteer. Even a few hours can make a meaningful difference. Share an idea.
Tell us what you'd like to see happening in our community. Support local businesses. Our local business partnerships help make community programming possible. Stay connected. Follow our social media pages and visit our website for announcements and opportunities.
