A Message from the President
As we welcomed the first signs of spring, March was a month that reminded us of the people who make Chappelle such a special place to call home.
This month, we celebrated International Women’s Day by recognizing the incredible women in our community — our volunteers, parents, business owners, neighbours, and community leaders. Their time, dedication, and care continue to make our neighbourhood more welcoming, connected, and inclusive.
As a League, we are also looking ahead with excitement. One of the highlights on the horizon is the return of our Easter Egg Hunt from April 3–5. This is one of our favourite family events, and we are excited to bring neighbours together for a weekend filled with an Easter egg scavenger hunt, family-friendly activities, prizes, surprises, and plenty of community fun.
Behind every successful community event is a group of volunteers who give their time and energy to make it happen. I want to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who continues to volunteer and support the League. Whether you help with events, communications, setup and cleanup, or simply lend a hand when needed, your contribution matters. We are always looking for more passionate community members to get involved, and no previous experience is required — just enthusiasm and a willingness to give back.
We are also continuing to build our volunteer team and are currently looking for people interested in opportunities such as Sports Director, along with support for community events, family activities, communications, and general community initiatives.
Most importantly, I want our residents to know that this League is here because of you. Every event we organize, every program we support, and every opportunity we create is about bringing neighbours together and building a stronger sense of belonging.
As we move into April, I hope to see many of you at the Easter Egg Hunt and at the many community opportunities still to come. Please continue to follow our website and social media for updates, event details, and ways to get involved.
